Website 1 Explained: Google– Don’t just search , power search.
Yes you heard it right , just a few simple website tricks & you get your Resume/ CV right into where you want to be. We all search Google many a times , infinite times I would say, but have we ever thought that just a simple search on google can get you the names of person whom you should be contacting for your recruitment. Let me explain !
There are ways wherein you can use Google to search within a website . Now this is known as power searching, many of you readers might even be aware of this term , but the thing you might not be aware of is that how you can use it to send your CV’s across continents to top HR Guys.
Website 2 Explained : LinkedIn
LinkedIn , Professional Networking Platform as we all know, A lot of professionals across globes are registered on LinkedIn & have their profile & ofcourse the HR of all major organizations have their profiles as well on LinkedIn.
Websites 3 Explained : Verify-Email.org , Verifyemailaddress.org , mailtester.com & many more , Just Google verify email
These are websites which you can use to check whether a particular email address is valid or not, Since we would not know the email address of the right person to contact to forward your CV’s / Resumes. We need to frame it & check whether the email address which we have framed is correct or not so that we know that we are forwarding your CV’s/ Resumes to the correct person.
The Methodology
Generally the structure of any official email address of any organization is :
First Name (dot) Last Name @ Company’s Domain.com
In order to send our CV’s to a person in any organization whom one doesn’t know one needs the following:
a) The name of the person
b) Company’s Domain Name
Now the question arises as to How we would know the name of the person to whom we should forward our CV to get noticed by the HR so that we can bag a job ?
The answer is we would use Google Search & LinkedIn & verification email tool to know the name of the person to whom we would forward our CV.
Steps :
a) Open Google.com
b) Search the following in the search box:
Site:linkedin.com HR The name of the Company you want to work for
For example : If I want to work for Apple , I would search the following in Google
Site:linkedin.com HR Apple
Typing in Site:www.example.com is asking Google to search within that website
Purpose of searching : The google will show the names of the person who have profiles on linkedIn & are registered there as HR of Apple.
c) Now we want to know the company’s domain name so that we can frame the email address.
Open the website of the company you want to work for. Go to the contact section of that website , the purpose is to know what email domain name the company uses within the organization.
For Example if we want to work for Schneider Electric we would go to the contact section of that website to know what email domain name is used , we would find email addresses such as
Contact @ Company’s domain
We get the Company’s Domain Name . This is important because it is not necessary that a Company which is Named “All done” has email addresses such as
By visiting the website we get can idea of what the structure of the email address of the organization is , so that we can frame the email addresses & forward our CV’s
d) Now we have all that is required to frame the email address of a personnel working in any organization we wish to join.
Frame the Email Address since you have the name , you have the structure , you have the company’s domain Name.
e) Check the email addresses you have framed to know whether they are valid.
f) Email your CV to the HR.
Frame , Send , Join !!
